This was a startup manufacturing plant with 1,800 employees. I helped develop the Labor and Overhead Budget and tracked performance on a regular basis. I worked in cost analysis, financial analysis, general accounting and performed the first internal audit for the plant. I was interim manager for the computer department
I was assistant controller for this tier 1, $20M automotive company. Using Excel spreadsheets I prepared the annual budget, prepared the monthly financial statements and, coordinated the annual audits. I supervised 4 employees. I had to oversee the Standard Cost System.
This was a $20M bakery in Carson City, NV. The company was in the nutraceutical manufacturing sector. The company was in financial problems when I arrived. I created a budget and a five year plan to attract purchasers for the business. We installed a manufacturing system. We converted the recipes to a bill of materials, set up work centers, etc. We were able to locate investors, but unable to arrive at a satisfactory arrangement. I took the company into bankruptcy.
